Editable payment due dates

Feature to be released

This feature has been developed and tested, but is set for a future release build, due Feb 2025

If you give special terms to some customers for specific orders it might be required that you can have the option to manually set the payment date for an order rather than working to the standard agreed terms.

Setting editable payment due dates on

System wide setting

Please note this is a system-wide setting, once switched on all users can amend the payment date. Please let the helpdesk know if user role restrictions are required.

To turn on this feature please ensure you are logged into the system as a Prime user

If you log into the system with a Prime user.

Go to Settings > Organisation Settings > Financial Ledgers

Edit your Ledger and go to Ledger Options > Orders

Now check the Allow edit of payment due date box

Using editable payment due dates

By default when you select payment terms the payment due date will be set according to the terms (i.e. 30 Days will set the payment due 30 days forward from the invoice date).

If you wish to override the calculated payment due date, edit the order and go to the Header tab.

Scroll down to the Advanced Section you will see a field for Payment due date.

Pick a new date as required and the system will lock the payment date, if you do need to change it again just click the button to unlock the payment date and you can set a new one.
