Moving a Lot to a Different Stock Location

From time to time, you may need to move a lot from one stock location to another within the same depot. The system provides a straightforward way to do this, allowing you to update the records while keeping a clear audit trail.

Finding the Product

Begin by locating the product whose lot you want to move. You can use whichever method you prefer to search, such as the product search function or your recents list. Once you have opened the product, navigate to the Locations tab.

This tab displays all of the stock lots for the product, along with their current locations.

Moving the Lot

Scroll down until you find the lot you wish to move. Next to it, click Edit Lot.

A pop-up window will appear, and within it, you will see the option to Move Lot.

Selecting this option allows you to choose a new location for the stock.

The current (old) location is shown, and you can now select the desired new location from the drop-down list. For example, you might want to move stock from a temporary holding area into a shop aisle location. Once you have chosen the correct location, confirm and save your changes.

Important Notes

Lots can only be moved within the same depot. If you need to transfer stock between depots, you should use the inter-branch transfer process rather than the lot move function.

It is also important to be aware that the system does not automatically generate or print any documents when lots are moved. The action is recorded internally, and no paperwork is created.

Checking the Movement

After moving a lot, you can review and track the change by opening the Movements tab in the .

Here, you will see a record of the physical movement showing the original location and the new location. This ensures that all lot moves are traceable.
